Analysis of Post

The author constantly speaks in a personally intimate subject by the many usages of 'you' and throughout the whole post, there is only one 'my'. The choice of such a word would most likely signify that the subject is aware of her current situation and not in denial.

The short sentences that end with periods may not indicate closure or the end of the sentence, but rather as a symbol to indicate a pause or a moment where the author reflects or takes a breath to think.

The phrase 'help you score points and eventually move you up the ranks' seem to weigh heavily and appears to be an important issue for the author. Perhaps it might be the crux of the post which is the issue of being in charge or authority?

Overall, the article has a rather aggressive tone and leans more towards accusing than defensive or explanatory. This is also supported by the disjointed sentence structures. Furthermore, the shift from past to present to past tense through the whole article indicates a certain level of confusion present (no pun intended).
