Epiphany OnE Puck

Either the whole world is in dire need of power, or someone Ctrl-C and Ctrl V portable chargers too many times. Every online deal website, every corner of every store, I can find a portable charger for sale. Perhaps it's easier since Android phones use micro-usb and Apple uses their respective pins. It used to take striking 4D to find a portable charger last time, due to the wide spectrum of charging types. I remember the old Nokia small cyclinder-like one, and Panasonic had their own, and Samsung had another one, and the list goes on and on. Gone are the days where phone boxes come with their charger.

At some point in time, one has to ponder, what is all these portable chargers doing for our planet? Isn't there an easier method or Mother-Earth-friendly method to charge our devices on the go? Then someone came up with solar chargers. Which works well if you have strong sunlight, or you work in an office with a window to the outside world. Then, Epiphany Labs come in.

What it promises to achieve is very very easy to understand. Plonk a hot or cold drink on the device, and watch your phone's battery increase. How it works is slightly more complicated. The Epiphany OnE Puck has two sides - one red, one blue. Plonk your hot drink on the red one, and cold drink on the blue side. The difference in temperature between both sides will get transformed into electric energy.

Very interesting product in the making, with lots of promise.
