Do you remember Mission Impossible where Tom Cruise would receive his mission via a pair of sunglasses? After viewing the whole video instructions, he would throw it away as it counts down self-destruction. Now, if only messages could do that. And they can, with Wickr!
Whether it be text, image, video or audio, Wickr promises military-grade encryption (though it didn't specify which military), and deletes all meta-info (aka as personal info) from your files. Unlike most websites which require a valid email address upon registration, Wickr doesn't, thus cutting off any visible links between you and Wickr.
Wickr allows the sender to select how long the recipent can view the message before self-destruction. Their website does list a few probable realistic scenarios at which security is important, which you can view at https://mywickr.com/stories.php
Free, but only available on the Apple app store for now.
