Why I.E? Use FF

This is a public announcement to encourage more internet users to switch to Mozilla Firefox. :)

Use Firefox!

Why you might want to switch from Internet Explorer?

1) The name sounds waaaaaaay cooler.

We, as the the future leaders of tomorrow, don't really explore the internet. It's our playground, our inspirational field, where we get guidance and seek the fulfillment of our quests for knowledge (and research to complete our projects). Firefox, hot like fire and as stealthy as a fox. :)

2) It's free!

Come on, where can you find free stuff online that has a lack of adware and spyware? :)

3) It's fast to download, quick to be installed, and works just like Internet Explorer.

Hmm, need I elaborate further? :)

4) It's compatible with all Operating Systems.

With all the above points, it seems like Internet Explorer and Firefox don't have that much different right? Till now. Firefox works on Windows, Mac and Linux.

5) It's customizable. From my Firefox browser, I can send files, blog, control my media player, be it iTunes or WMP (Windows Media Player) or Winamp or Realplayer, and I can do a Windows Update!

How do i do it? By downloading Add-Ons, to complement my internet browsing experience. It's akin to widgets for Windows Vista, or for Mac. And Add-ons are free! [I'll publish more info about the add-ons I use, in due time]

6) You can restore Firefox.

If, and due to some unfortunate reason, your Firefox crashes, upon reloading it, you can opt to restore to how it was before it crashed, that is, the web pages you were viewing would appear, so, no worries about locating the web page you were viewing before it crashed! :)

7) It's user-friendly! And updates are a breeze!

Well, it ain't hard to find something user-friendly, especially with so many web designers and software testers available, yet Firefox is user-friendly! Besides, it came out with Tabbed Browsing waaay before Internet Explorer did.

Unlike Internet Explorer, where you would have to run a Windows Update, install the updates and then restart your system, Firefox doesn't. It notifies you when there's an update, and pending your approval, it would download the update.

After installation of the update, Firefox would restart itself, but because your pages are saved, upon restart, the pages you were surfing before the update would load, and you can continue surfing, just as before! And all these, in less than five minutes, depending on your internet settings.

Hee! So remember, download Firefox. Microsoft can't be depended on too much. Besides, they've monopolized the market waaaay too long, it's time to aid the competition :)
