At times you're calm
smooth and gentle
at others you've ferocious
howly disgruntled and raging
And every water needs a beach.
To ebb and flow upon
to crash upon
to gently seep into
and then recede
to take a breather
to rest before back
to life
But of what use is the beach
when the waves refuse to surge upon
when the waters decline to crash upon
when you depart and ripple away?
