Imagine

Say you were going to meet your friend.
But you have time to kill.
So you take the train down towards the place your friend is coming from
Against the direction your friend is travelling
And mid way, you alight and take the train going in the correct direction
in the hope of meeting your friend.

You alight, cross over, and enter at the same door
at the exact line of position.
And there your friend sits
And the whole carriage is filled
Save for one empty seat beside your friend

Now what are the chances of that happening?

Each car has 4 doors. Each train has 3 cars.
So that chance of the same door works out to be 1 in 12.

Each train has 148 seats, so that works out to 1 in 148.

Combined, both would equate to 1 in 1776.
Not that high, if you compare that the chance of winning the toto jackpot is 1 in 8.4 million.

But high enough for me.

Brother to many,
Lover to none.

Perhaps though, you will make it one.
