Virtual reality

Most end of times predict a world economy as a sign. Some may call it by different names but regardless whether it's a unified currency, or a single economy, or a world money form, the definition doesn't vary.

This has led to speculation as to which currency this would be. Could it be the US, a strong contender, or perhaps China, a growing market?

But what if this currency, that is predicted at world's end, is not a nation's money?

Macdonald's has an outlet in nearly every country. Imagine if they were to come up with a prepaid card payment system. After this is implemented, they announce that cash will not be accepted, and all you need to enjoy a burger, in whichever country you are, is just a card. With this, you could literally gift-a-burger to your penpal in another partner of the world, by crediting the card.

With this in mind, ponder the possibilty of a world currency being virtual. Could the new world currency be facebook credits?

We need to widen our thinking. No longer are we living by physical means anymore. We are living by virtual means.

What do I mean?

Your salary is credited to your bank account. You use your card to pay for meals. Or to buy clothes from amazon. You use internet banking to pay bills. All these do not require the usage of hard cash.

This is virtual reality. Reality becoming virtual.
